The motto of The Lawrence &
Ruthe Taylor Foundation is stated in Galatians 6:10: “As we
have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” The
Foundation is dedicated to the support of Christian
education, foreign missions, building projects, and other
associated activities of the Church of God as outlined in
its Mission Statement and Goals and Objectives.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable
corporation established in 2001 by Lawrence and Ruthe Taylor
under the Non-profit Benefit Corporation Law of the State of
California. Although it was primarily established to meet
the giving objectives of the Taylors, its scope of purpose
was broadened to include any individual wishing to donate
through the Foundation and who would find it useful in
meeting his/her giving objectives.
The Foundation is available to all wishing to designate all
or a portion of the assets of their estate through a will or
living trust to support the gospel during or after their
lifetime. It provides a mechanism whereby all donations and
bequests are tax deductible.
It is not the purpose of the Foundation to provide legal or
financial advice, and all donors are encouraged to use
his/her own legal representative or financial advisor to
determine the appropriate way to give and the best language
to use when making a bequest.
The Foundation is not organized for the private gain of
itself or any person. Every dollar given goes to the
designated cause, within the legal parameters set forth
under Federal and California law.
The Foundation does not seek nor solicit donations for any
cause, nor does it offer grants or accept requests for
monetary support of church-related projects and activities.
Worthy causes to be funded are determined by the Board of
Trustees within the scope of the Foundation’s Mission
Statement and Goals.
Although the Foundation has been chosen to handle donations
for specific missionary and gospel outreach efforts, it is
not intended to take the place of other already-established
avenues now available to support Church of God ministers,
missions, gospel publishing, and other gospel outreach
efforts. Indeed, where appropriate, individuals may be
steered toward other avenues of giving.
